Kathleen Biggins
A communications professional with deep-seated concern for the changing climate and a commitment to making a difference, Kathleen Biggins is the president and founder of C-Change Conversations.
A Southerner at heart, Kathleen grew up in New Orleans. She earned a bachelor’s degree as an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia. She then continued her academic pursuits as a Rotary Scholar at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg Germany.
Kathleen started her career as a reporter at the Times-Picayune in New Orleans, then moved to advertising and marketing with Ogilvy and Mather NY and QLM Associates. Kathleen then shifted her focus to radio-based communications as host of “The Green Hour,” which focused on environmental issues in central New Jersey.
Kathleen’s climate “wake-up call” came when she heard presentations at a national conference given by military and business leaders – people she didn’t normally associate with climate change. After witnessing the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, she was propelled into action and has spent the last decade educating others on climate science and its ramifications. C-Change is built from the strong foundation of Kathleen’s communication expertise combined with her life commitment to leave a better world for her children and grandchildren.
Kathleen is the lead content developer and presenter for C-Change. She travels the country to present the “C-Change Primer,” a multimedia explanation of the science behind climate change and a clear-eyed assessment of the economic, health, and security risks ahead. She has presented to more than 20,000 people, including the World Presidents Organization, Bank Australia, the Garden Club of America, Rotary International, the Land Trust Alliance, Princeton University, Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, and the University of Georgia. She is a sought-after source regarding climate education, appearing on podcasts and providing context for news reports. In 2023, Kathleen represented C-Change at COP28, the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai.
Kathleen lives in Princeton, NJ, with her husband. In addition to her work with C-Change Conversations, Kathleen is an active member of the Garden Club of America, The Watershed Institute, and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra.
